A special trinocular stereo microscope setup for the inspection of gems and minerals.
The Greenough optical system delivers clear and distortion-free images in a 6.7:1 zoom, giving a magnification range of 7.5X-50X in standard outfit and the working distance of 110mm guarantees perfect handling freedom.
On the trinocular version the fixed light split of 50:50 to the photo port allows easy documentation.
The instrument comes with a special transmitted/incident illumination adapted to the specifics of translucent precious stones.
Equipped with advanced illumination options, the GM171 includes a 30W brightfield/darkfield transmitted light system, plus a 7W incident fluorescent light (6400K), delivering accurate color grading and reducing reflections.
For added comfort during extended sessions, the microscope’s base tilts from 0° to 45°, reducing fatigue.
Enhance its capabilities with optional accessories, such as a polarisation kit for detecting birefringence and an immersion cell for highlighting inclusions.
